In the end it came down to three couples: race car driver James Hinchcliffe and pro-dancer Sharna Burgess, football player Calvin Johnson Jr and pro-dancer Lindsay Arnold and Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez and pro-dancer Val Chmerkovskiy.
And the winners are: Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy! Val – the brother of Max – is a great dancer, but the 16 year old Laurie stole America’s hearts!
The gymnast who won gold and silver as a member of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team at the 2016 Summer Olympics, earned the recognition of Dancing With The Stars judges, too. With the enthusiasm of a teen and perfectionism of a professional athlete, Laurie Hernandez was flawless! So was the Grand Finale of Fall 2016 Dancing With the Stars which took place at The Grove in Los Angeles and inaugurated Holiday Season.
Congratulations to Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy as well as to James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess and Calvin Johnson Jr and Lindsay Arnold. It’s only fair that America – and not a jury – chooses the DWTS winners, all of the Finalists were FANTASTIC!!!
