The man who said of aides to Hillary Clinton “If you are given immunity that means you’ve probably committed a crime” is himself seeking immunity as a condition for testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee! Yes, we’re talking about General Mike Flynn, the retired Lt. Gen., not-registered agent for a foreign government, ex-head of the Defense Intelligence Agency and for a whole 3 weeks President Trump’s national security advisor. (He was eventually fired for allegedly misleading Vice President Mike Pence about his – Flynn’s! – communications with Russia.)
According to Robert Kelner, Flynn’s attorney, “General Flynn certainly has a story to tell, and he very much wants to tell it.”
If General Flynn believes that only criminals request – and are given – immunity as he stated while speaking with Chuck Todd on Meet the Press, one has to wonder what self-incriminating story he has to tell… Stay tuned: the investigation of Trump campaign’s possible ties to Russia is just beginning while the confusion over House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes highly unusual behavior still simmers.
