2017 Academy Awards Nominees Announced

For the first time in 90 year history of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences the nominations weren’t announced live to the entertainment media but streamed for the world to see.

Most of 2017 Oscars nominations were received by “La La Land” (14), “Moonlight” (8), “Arrival” (8), “Lion” (6), “Manchester by the Sea” (6) and “Hacksaw Ridge” (6).

The 89th Oscars ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood, and will be televised live on the ABC Television Network at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. The Oscars also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
